UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE LADY VOLS:

I am often asked why I chose to attend the University of Tennessee to study and play my NCAA Soccer. Well, I went on quite a few recruiting trips before I decided to attend the University of Tennessee.

I enjoyed all of my visits to other Universities, but I knew as soon as I stepped onto the Knoxville, Tennessee campus that this was the place for me. If you asked me why I knew this School was the right one, I would have to say that it's hard to answer. I just knew.

Tennessee was the only school where I could picture myself attending. I saw myself in the classes there, saw myself playing on their field…. I saw myself as being a part of the program. The coach Angela Kelly, an ex Canadian National Team player seemed knowledgeable and sympathetic. I believe that I made a good choice both from a soccer and from an academic point of view. The University treated me very well, and the academic and the sports facilities were wonderful.

I was really lucky that I was the right age to play for the Quebec Provincial Team at the Under 17 Nationals and this is where I was scouted. I ended up having a good tournament and I received a letter from the University of Nebraska and Tennessee. The offers were completely unexpected and they really made me sit up and think that I might possibly go somewhere with my soccer.
