RHIAN & DIANA JOIN MARIE KNUDSEN IN U 12 TRAINING CAMP

On Saturday 19th September, Rhian , Diana and Marie took a trip to Frogner Under-12s for a training camp.

There, we met a motivated group of girls and coaches, all looking forward to some training.  These players are often the ball-girls at Team Strommen's home matches and they will provide the ball girls again when Team Strommen takes on Trondheims-Ørn in next Saturday's match. It is good to have the chance to give something back to this team.  

The practice covered some basic skills, some Canadian routines and drills, and plenty of shooting. As Marie Knudsen reports, "We all had a lot of fun and we hope the girls did too." Frogner's Tone Risan and Odd Erik Hagen report that "You are a good inspiration and idol for all of our girls. Big hugs from the girls and they wanted to send you some of the pictures we took."

The senior women's team always enjoys these sessions with the next generation of players. Last Spring, Rhian joined in a practice with the girls and coaches of South Simcoe United FC in Ontario.  The President has asked Rhian to attend their year-end banquet, but unfortunately, Rhian is unable to attend because of her Club commitments in Norway. She will be thinking of all the players and their coaches and parents on Friday 25th September.
