2008  Nominated for Canadian Soccer Association's Female Athlete of the Year. Elected as 2008 Fan's Player of the Year, From November 2007 returned to National Residential Camp in BC. Toured to Guangzhou, China - Four Nations Tournament. Started as right back against USA L 0-4, China T 0-0, and Finland T 1:1. In Cyprus Cup Tournament, started in defence vs Russia W 2-1, and against Japan in midfield W 3-0. Canada won the Tournament with a 3-2 win against USA Under 20 (no caps awarded.) Started in midfield vs France in Meaux, in a friendly en route back to Canada. Started in all 4 of Canada's matches in the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico vs Trinidad and Tobago W 6-0; vs Costa Rica W 1-0; vs Mexico W 1-0; and tied 1-1 vs USA in the finals (L 6-5 on PKs).  Made short tour to Australia in May, L to Matildas 1:2;Tour to Suwon South Korea for Peace Queen Cup Tournament.  Started 14 June 2008 vs Argentina  W 5-0; 16th June 2008 vs South Korea W 3-1.18th June 2008 vs New Zealand W 2-0. Finalists in Peace Queen Cup, Suwon, South Korea.

 

2007 Nominated for Canadian Soccer Association's Female Athlete of the Year. January pre - Women's World Cup training  camp in BC. Toured China in April - May 2007. Started vs China in both games L 1-3 and L 1-2 (despite out shooting opposition 24 - 8. Played friendly in Texas against USA. Scored goal in losing cause. Started both friendly matches against New Zealand in Auckland, W 3-0 and W 5-0, but injured in second game and had to come off.  Selected for squad to XV Pan American Games in Rio Brasil. Started against Uruguay, Ecuador, Jamaica and Brazil, then against USA U20 in semi finals. PanAm Games bronze medalist when came on as a sub vs Mexico. She represented Canada at the FIFA Women's World Cup China 2007...Came on as a sub against Norway, and against Ghana. Started against Australia. In November 2007 returned to National Residential Camp in Vancouver, BC.

 

2006 Named to Canada's CONCACAF Gold Cup roster and started in both matches while scoring one goal ... Played in all four games at the 2006 Peace Queen Cup while scoring one goal ...  Took part in Team Canada's residency camp in Vancouver, BC fall of 2006 in preparation for Gold Cup in November, 2006. Played two games against China and one game against France in August 2006. Called to training camp in Chilliwack, BC in July 2006 ...  Rhian started against Italy in Etobicoke and forced Italy into an own goal in the first 2 minutes. She started against Holland on March 4, 2006. She came on as a sub in the first friendly match against the Netherlands on Wed 1st March 2006, then started against the Netherlands on Saturday 4th March 2006. Rhian came on as a sub against Mexico in two friendly matches in February 2006.
 

2005 Rhian started against Germany on September 4, 2005. She played 90 minutes against Germany on September 1, 2005.

 

2004 Came on as a sub against Japan on July 30, 2004 . Played against Costa Rica in CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Played against China and Sweden in the 2004 Four Nations Women’s Tournament.

 

2003 Played in all six games at the 2003 Women’s World Cup ... Scored against Australia on September 14, 2003. Scored against Mexico on September 4, 2003. Came on as a sub against Mexico on August 31, 2003. Named to Canada’s 2003 Pan Am Games team. Came on as a sub against Brazil on July 20, 2003. Came on as a sub and scored her first international goal against Brazil on July 17, 2003. Called up to the World Cup Team for the friendly against the USA on April 26, 2003 and made her debut as a substitute.


PROFESSIONAL/AMATEUR HIGHLIGHTS:

 

June 28 2008 Played in all 4 matches, in 4 different positions, and reached finals of the Peace Queen Cup in Suwon, South Korea for the second time.

1st April 2008 played all 4 games of the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament and secured berth in the Olympics - the first Canadian Women's soccer team to ever achieve the honor. 

 

Nominated in 2007 and 2008 for Canadian Soccer Association's Female Athlete of the Year. Elected as 2008 Fan's Player of the Year. Team wins Cyprus Cup in March 2008, and Rhian passes 50 caps mark.

 

Signed with Strømmen FK in Norway in August 2005, and helped the team to second in the Premier League and losing finalist of the Norwegian Premier Cup.

 

Played for Ottawa Fury and won W-League 2005 Scoring  Championship and tied for the Assist Leader with 38 points on 13 goals and 12 assists. Named to the 2005 W League Championship All Tournament team. Named 2005 Player of Year for Ottawa Fury and Federation du Soccer du Quebec. Named to the 2003 W-League All Star team and the 2004 W-League Championship All Tournament team in her first season with the Ottawa Fury of the W-League.
