Started vs England and won 1-0. Came on as a planned substitute in Cyprus Cup match against South Africa. (W 6:0) Played vs Costa Rica (W 5:1) Played semi finals vs Mexico (W 3:1) and qualified for London 2012 Olympic Games.  Silver medal in finals vs United States (L 4:0)

 

2011

Defeated Italy (1:0) 4th march, then defeated England (2:0) on 7th March. On Wed 9th March defeated Netherlands to win the Cyprus Cup (W 2:1) and earn 6th rank in FIFA World Rankings. 

 

Invited to Rome Pre-WWC training Camp in Rome Italy from 24th March - 20th April. 2nd April, started v Sweden played in Italy (L 0:1 ) As part of WWC preparation played on 15th May in (T1:1) against Switzerland in closed door match in Rome at Mancini Park. 18th May started vs Switzerland in Niederhasler (W. 2:1) 7th June started vs Hungary in Budapest (W 1:0) 100th cap for Brittany Timko and 50th for Jodi Ann Robinson 14th June started against Korea DPR to mark her 100th appearance for Canada. Honored as Elite athlete at Lac St Louis' centenary celebrations 2011.

 

 Selected to 21 person Canada Squad for June 26-July 17, 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany: Third World Cup experience Started against Germany (L 1:2) France (L 0:4) and against Nigeria (L 0:1) Terrible tournament results and finished 16/16 after unrealistically high expectations.

 

September Selected to squad to attend training camp in USA in Kansas City and Portland Oregon. Started both friendly games vs USA- a tie in Kansas (T 1:1) ) and a loss in Portland, Oregon ( L 0-3 ). Large crowds at both games.

 

Asked by Soccer Quebec to be an ambassador for the City as a host venue for the 2015 FIFA World Cup.

 

Selected to 17 player roster for Pan American games in Guadalajara, Mexico from 18th - 27th October 2011. Played full match in 3:1 victory over Costa Rica in opening match of the Pan American Games. Tied Brazil 0 - 0 22nd October 2011. Started against Columbia in the semi finals on 25th October 2011, for first ever game against them. 2010

 

Rhian signed a third one-year contract with Norwegian side LSK Kvinner (formerly Team Strommen) In the 1st match ever played between South Africa and Canada came on as sub at 30 mins during Cyprus Cup, Won the 2010 Cyprus Cup vs New Zealand.  Selected to squad for China, but volcanic ash prevented travel. Selected to squad for USA camp, first ever friendly between a WPSL squad and Canada's WNT squad (T 3-3).

 

Played friendly match scheduled in Hamar, against Norway on 3rd June 2010 (Tied 1:1). Selected to WNT training camp in Rome Italy 25th August - 12th September 2010. Started vs Germany in Dresden Rudolf Harbig stadium (20, 431) (L 0:5)  

 

Selected to 22 squad at Nottawasaga camp 21-30 September prior to 80th cap when started in 3:1 victory vs China at BMO field.

 

October 2010 started vs Trinidad and Tobago (W 1-0) vs Guyana (W 8-0) vs Mexico (W 3-0), vs Costa Rica (W 4-0) in FIFA Women's World Cup Qualifiers in Cancun, Mexico, including shot that led to Costa Rican own goal. CONCACAF Gold Cup Champions with win vs Mexico (W1:0)

 

November 4 Nations International Tournament in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Started vs Netherlands (W 5:0) vs Mexico (W 1:0) vs Brazil (2:2 tie) and won Tournament on points..

 

2009

 

Rhian was nominated as Canadian Soccer Association's Female Athlete of the Year for 2008.

 

Rhian was honored at the 36th Quebec Sports Gala in Laval in December 2008. She received a "Maurice" (the award named after the Canadiens' star Maurice Richard). This recognizes her as the Quebec Athlete of the Year in a Team Sport.

 

Signed new contract with Team Strommen of Norway. Despite being injured, joined Team Strommen squad for Pool rounds of European Champions League in Croatia. Won first two pool matches by 5-0 & 9-0. Came on in the second half of final pool match vs Everton and lost 1 - 0 by a goal scored in the 2nd minute of overtime.

 

In September 2009, played in Team Strommen side that reached Finals of Norway Cup. Appointed interim captain of Team Strommen in Fall 2009. Selected to Team Strommen for their 3rd consecutive appearance in the Norway Cup final. Lost 1 - 0 on 7th November 2009.

 

2008

 

September 2008: Joined Team Strommen in Norway with Diana Matheson. Helped Team Strommen to silver medal in League play and silver medal as losing finalists in Norway Cup.

 

August 6th 2008 Started and played first Olympic match against Argentina in 2008 Olympics. August 9th Played in tied game with China. August 12 played vs Sweden (L 2-1) but qualified for final 8 Quarter finals. Played vs USA in quarter finals, losing in overtime.

 

Canada has played more matches (24) than any previous season (21). Rhian, with 1907 minutes played has passed Kara Lang's mark set in 2003 0f 1,740 minutes. With their starts against Sweden, Rhian, Candace Chapman and Christine Sinclair tied Kara Lang's mark for 21 starts in a season.

 

 July 16th 2008 Selected to Canada's squad for 2008 Beijing Olympics.

 

June 28 2008 Played in all 4 matches, in 4 different positions, and reached finals of the Peace Queen Cup in Suwon, South Korea for the second time.

 

1st April 2008 played all 4 games of the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament and secured berth in the Olympics - the first Canadian Women's soccer team to ever achieve the honor. 

 

Nominated in 2007 and 2008 for Canadian Soccer Association's Female Athlete of the Year. Elected as 2008 Fan's Player of the Year. Team wins Cyprus Cup in March 2008, and Rhian passes 50 caps mark.

 

Signed with Strømmen FK in Norway in August 2005, and helped the team to second in the Premier League and losing finalist of the Norwegian Premier Cup.

 

Played for Ottawa Fury and won W-League 2005 Scoring  Championship and tied for the Assist Leader with 38 points on 13 goals and 12 assists. Named to the 2005 W League Championship All Tournament team. Named 2005 Player of Year for Ottawa Fury and Federation du Soccer de Quebec. Named to the 2003 W-League All Star team and the 2004 W-League Championship All Tournament team in her first season with the Ottawa Fury of the W-League.
