RHIAN SOCCER JOURNALS

MORE  TRAINING: MORE FITNESS TESTS 13 November 2011

Today has been a long day. It has also been a good one. We started the day's training before dawn with a visit to the gym, and we ended it after sunset at the practice field. All in all, a long day.

We were told before this National Team session began that this was going to be a tough camp and they were not lying. The workout in the gym was our usual one, although this is the first time we have had such a very hard session immediately after a hard session the night before, and with the prospect of another hard session later in the day.

The hotel has been very quiet between our scheduled workouts and events. We have become a team of "nappers."

We worked out this morning at Grand Canyon University who were kind enough to lend us their gym. It was quite fun being all together in the same gymnasium ands it is definitely motivational to have your teammates around you working their tails off.

I worked out with Mel Booth, another outside back, and she definitely pushed me - thank you Mel... and I really do mean that!

It is now almost 10:00 pm and I need to get some sleep. We have another early morning session in the gym tomorrow. Apparently there is a master plan for our conditioning and fitness preparation, and I just happen to have seen it. The maximum work out put for tomorrow is projected to be well above what it has been today. This is a scary thought and I will let you know.
