RHIAN SOCCER JOURNALS

THE BUILD UP AND CSI WORK           16th September 2011

Today was a cold day here in Kansas City. However, we soon stopped complaining about the temperature when Des mentioned that it was snowing in Winnipeg!

This was another morning of relaxed down time, plus meetings. A quiet day, but a good one. I decided to go to Union Station with Sophie for a while, as I needed to buy some stamps. However, I discovered what a creature of habit I have become. For some unknown reason, I decided to buy some anatomy study flash cards I found, this even though my class is finished!!!

The on-field session this afternoon was another tough, intense affair. The highlight of the practice was probably marked by the occasion that Carm decided to pull her socks down and revealed a set of stud marks down her shin. Of course, the fact that Carm was raked by a soccer boot was not the funny part. Rather, it was the fact that she tried to blame Kelly for the injury.

After some intricate forensics and careful CSI work we discovered that the only studs capable of making these exact rake marks down her legs were her own - very sad !

This evening is again quite, with rest, recovery, and some physiotherapy for all.
