CANADA
LSK VERSUS NORWAY LSK 2nd June From LSK website & with
news of Pendray

Tomorrow,3rd June 2010, Canada plays Norway in a friendly international match
at the Fart SK stadium in Hamar.
The LSK Women's Soccer Club is fortunate to have players on both teams. Lene
Storløkken and Marit Sandvei for Norway meet Rhian
playing for Canada. Unfortunately, Diana, owner of 99 national team caps, is still recovering from injury, but she is with the
team and should be on the bench.
The LSK Women's Club has changed its training days to travel up to watch the match.
The weather forecast is good, and the Club is arranging minibuses to let people
drive up to support the LSK players.
Rhian writes, "Sorry for the break in my journals, but
not much has been going on really. We have been training once a day for the
big game tomorrow against Norway. Other than that though not much has been
going on over here."
" I know that I have mentioned that I am back in
school and taking distance learning classes. It is on trips like this that I
am pleased to have something, other than soccer, to keep me occupied. Maths is
not an easy subject for me, and there is nothing here to distract me and stop
me doing my homework. I am sure there are lots of people out there
jealous of my study environment."
Our training sessions have been improving over the past
few days. We are becoming more focused on the game and we have had some good
intensity. We have cut out many of the stupid little errors that we were
succumbing to, earlier in the camp. The match against Norway is going to be a
tough game. I think we all know that, but we are also getting more and more
confident in our abilities and in our skill as a teams. The game should be a
good one. I am definitely looking forward to it and the chance to play against
some of my LSK Kvinner teammates. Not many people get to play for their
country against friends.
The LSK Club looks forward to welcoming Rhian back after a 3 week Canada
National camp in Canada and the United
States.
Canada will have at least one supporter in the stands as Pendray has arrived in
town. Pendray writes, " I took the bus to the stadium today to make sure I
could find it. Getting back into town after the match is going to have to be
done by taxi as the bus doesn't run that late. I don't mind though as it's
going to be a really good game!" Pendray will send photos of the match on
Saturday.
