FINAL PREPARATIONS FOR WASHINGTON FREEDOM 22nd May 2010
Yesterday, we had pre game training at the stadium for the morning's practice. I am looking forward to playing in the
match against the Washington Freed. The team went through a few set pieces and some game movement, all the usual
preparation in regards to preparing for a game.

The really big event of the day - other than practice - was the European Champions League final. Our Italian coaches
were very excited about it, although poor Mario, a massive A.C Milan fan, wasn't quite so thrilled, especially after Inter won.
We all enjoyed watching the game at Erin McLeod's amazing host family's house. They put on quite a spread for us and were
incredibly generous and hospitable.

As well as the banquet of food, they lent us their television viewing space. At times, we
looked as though we were squeezing them out of their own house. A big thank you to them all.

During the soccer game I have to admit that I kept my I - pod dialed in to receive the updates on the Habs vs Philadelphia
Flyers hockey match. I needn't have bothered. My Habs have had a great season and I still think there is a remote possibility
they can win the next game, but whatever the result, I think they have given us a great ride this season and there is no
doubt they have re-awakened the old Canadiens Habs nation: Tres cool!!!!!
