Today is friday and it is the last day of camp. We had a game in the afternoon
at 4:00pm against Florida International University, so the morning was a quiet
one.
I went for a walk in the morning, and Starbucks has become a bit of a ritual
for a few of us. While there I usually do the USA Today crossword, which I
love, and then went ahead and booked my hostels for my upcoming Italian
adventure. D, Robyn and I are planning on spending almost three weeks touring
in the north of Italy. I can't wait. Robyn has not actually finalized her
involvement in the adventure, but I am hoping that now the trip is shown in
this journal she will be forced to get her butt in gear.
The game against FIU (Florida International university) was something of a
blow out. Their season had obviously just ended and I am not even sure their
seniors made the trip to play us. The match did give us time to work on some
set plays, ad there were some great build-ups and finishes from Canada.
However, I can't tell you the score because first, it doesn't matter because
we and Carolina were more concerned with our overall performance, and second,
because I can't remember. It was around 8 - 0. It is always good to get a game
in, but unfortunately, this particular team was a little out of their depth.
I spent the evening getting packed, I can never understand how much I bring on
these trips. I am not looking forward to the long travel day tomorrow, but am
looking forward to the cooler Norwegian weather. I had forgotten about the
Florida heat.
