RHIAN'S SOCCER JOURNALS:
BACK TO RESIDENTIAL CAMP
12th November 2007
The Canadian National Senior Women's team have been back in our Vancouver, British Columbia
residential camp for a few days now, and boy has my body forgotten what camp is like?

Even after once single session my legs were screaming at me, so you can imagine how they feel
after four practices. Making my aching body feel even worse is the fact one of our new 17 year old
additions to the camp seems confused about why we are all so stiff and sore ...... are we getting
old?
Tonight we were out playing on a field in South Surrey against a local Men's team. We came out
losing 2-1, but I thought there were some good things shown. We are a little short on numbers at
the moment. Some of the team are still at university, and some still out with injuries. So, with
our limited numbers and new players, I thought we had a decent enough showing, and we became better
as the game went on. This is especially true as we were welcomed back to British Columbia with heavy
rain and a howling wind. Our one goal was scored my Martina Franko from a scramble in the goal mouth
after a corner.
We are getting right back into things here, and everyone seems excited to be back at work again:
I know I am.
