EARLY YEARS:
FIRST SOCCER MEMORIES
My memories of my early soccer life are more like snap shots. I remember being 5 years old and sitting in a circle with my team, “The Strawberries,” and listening to our coach discuss positions.
Unfortunately what I remember most about that day was not listening to the coach, but rather starring at his leg muscles and being impressed by how big they were!!!!
Linda Consolante, who played for Canada in 2003, was also on that same team. She was by far the tallest player, but my only memory of her playing was when she wandered off the field picking dandelions. She has come a long way since then.
